Ingredients:

1cm Fresh Turmeric aka Haldi (or 1/4 teaspoon if using the dried powder)
2 cups of milk (I like unsweetened or homemade almond milk but soya or oat milk are also delicious and of course you can use dairy milk too)

Optional: coconut oil, cloves, cardamoms, fennel seeds and ginger all add a lovely touch to this drink, however I like it as a simple bedtime drink and prefer the spices in my chai in the morning.

Method:

1. If you have a Nutri-bullet or other blender then blitz the milk and turmeric together for 2 x 30 sec stints. Alternatively grate the turmeric into the milk but wear gloves to avoid orange fingers! Turmeric stains like nothing else.
2. Pour into a pan and heat slowly until it starts to boil and the milk froths up in the pan.

Enjoy!
